The written In Training Examination is provided to all medical residents each October.  The results provide useful "formative" feedback for the resident (and the program).    If a resident has difficulty with the In Training Examination, they may be given the opportunity to take other standardized tests.

OnLine Quizzes are also provided for both formative and summative feedback.   Access to these quizzes requires a user name and password, available from the Medical Education Office - Room 717:

  • Doc.com is used for communication assessment
  • The Johns Hopkins ILC is used for Ambulatory Care formative feedback
  • BlackBoard is used for both formative and summative feedback
  • QS is being tested as an easier to navigate alternative for quizzes
  • ABIM PIM is used for Practice-based learning & improvment (& faculty MOC)
  • ACP PIM (especially for faculty MOC)
  • NPI Application
